But done in real time, from design to toolpath to milling? And maybe
with a more "useful" part like a flywheel...

I always need input on what would make the process clearer on my web
pages, and when my kids are older I hope to do demos at GEARS, so
thoughts like this are helpful.

Index plates are a good idea, fairly simple to program and quick to
mill, especially if you use the same endmill to drill the holes as cut
out the plate.
