I have CNC Bridgeport Interact II w Gecko 203's, PMDX 126 BOB, Motors
are MAE HY200-4270-710-B8 (710 in-lbs?)
IT MOVES!! thanks! more questions...
0 - Pins on PMDX 126 BOB XML were odd for step and even for direction, whereas I have a minimill (X2) where they are even for step and odd for direction. I changed the PMDX XML so both are the same. Is there any reason to run them odd for step and even for direction?? thanks Steve at PMDX for getting straight on this.
1 - I'd REALLY like to use the "80 Volt" transformer out of Centroid, which seems to be putting out 88V across capacitor (out of transformer) - Gecko's say 80V max - am I in trouble? I have no current limit resistor, because the MAE's say they can handle ?8? amps.
2 - I was moving X and Y axis with arrow keys on keyboard and MACH 3 to get approx motor tuning and steps per inch calibration. When I got up the 16000 ish number, I noticed that Y axis would fault (red light) the V203 Gecko if I got up to about 80+ inches per minute and
3 - Z axis is air assisted knee motor. There is a quill feed, but no CNC motor on it. A lot of what this machine will be doing is drilling bolt patterns, so I'm wondering if I should be thinking about putting a motor on the quill and doing my drilling that way instead of lifting the 1000 or so pounds of knee and XY tables. What is standard practice here. I'm embarrassed to say this, but a lot of the parts this machine will turn out will be small stuff for my robotics team... when I say small stuff, the roughing cuts will be with an 1/8" mill - seems silly, but this beast should be much more accurate than the X2 as well as a Shark CNC router that we have been using, so I'm hoping to make our own 25 chain sprockets, 20 degree pressure angle 32 DP gears etc. while it isn't doing "work" stuff.
thanks for help so far!!

>8 inches/sec^2 acceleration. Motors are MAEHY200-4270-710-B8 in bipolar parallel I'm pretty sure. Does that sound about right or should I be able to get more speed out of it? OR is there something else I'm doing wrong here? that might hurt my system?
