  That’s strange because win 10 on my laptop is 64 bits and run the ESS just fine.

driver is written in machine code and will only work with 32 bit
versions of windows. Art says it's impossible to make it work on 64bit
versions because of the changes to security, and the ARM port of windows
has a different security model again, so even if the code can be ported,
it may still not work, and Art has not made the code available for the
driver.
