After I wrote that, I looked at the WIKI and it said it uses the parallel port and serial port. No USB.

I only have a slight grasp on the handle,,,,:-) so I don't have your answer but maybe this will help.   On the Wiki there is a version they call
RaspbianXenomaiBuild How to create a minimal Raspbian image with Xenomai and LinuxCNC installed for Raspberry Pi.

Does Linux CNC still use a parallel port? It would be great if it could use an Arduino, like GRBL.
