Hi All
There is widespread dissatisfaction with the new regime of ads at the top I
have been getting similar responses to the message from several lists who
use these people - My response to the "Slim rails list was as follows:-

Hi Bill and all.
Yes you can pay them to "take the ads away" - Someone on another list to
which I subscribe did just that - paid them for a years ad free operation,
- around $60.00, and the response was exactly ZERO!!
It made no difference at all, including the new imposition of ads at the
top. Pretty dishonest I would have thought. I don't know what the answer
is, but I personally find the new regime unacceptable, at least when the
ads were on the bottom they were easy to ignore, now with them at the top I
have to scroll down to read every message.
My response is that NO WAY will I have any dealings with any advertiser who
advertises in this way.
Perhaps we could all E-Mail the advertisers and say so, ie that this
advertising is counter productive.
