PulseGen.doc

Hi,

I'm here at our place on the north shore of Kauai until Sept 5. I
noticed some interest in hardware step pulse generation so I posted
in
the Files section a method for doing that. I apologize I could not
convert it to a .pdf file since the laptop I am hunched over in the
jungles of the Na Pali coast of Kauai does not have Acrobat
Distiller.
Instead I had to post it as a Word .doc file. If anyone who has
problems with that, I will repost it as a .pdf when I return to La-La
land Tuesday.

It has been an interesting discussion on this subject and I feel the
consensus is in the direction where a hardware solution is the way to
go particularly if if WIN 95, 98 or 2000 is to be used.

What I propose in the posting is the minimal hardware (<$100) to do
that for a 4 axis system. It would be up to the PC/WIN literate ones
to generate the GUI and motion control routines required.

I would like any feedback pro or con if this is feasable. Who knows,
we could start a new standard here. It could be fun!
