Milling HSS

Hi All
A friend - perhaps that should be spelt fiend - has asked if I can mill some
cutting tips out of 5% cobolt HSS for a wood turning tool....
Without resorting to EDM or grinding, I'm not sure whether this is worth
trying. Has anyone on this list tried machining HSS, if so, what feed and
speeds, cutter types etc....
Loathed to trash an expensive cutter, hence I ask first.
