when I started programming back in 1983 the machine that I was working on
(and still do) used 3 off IBM pcs (one per each axis ) and they where hook up
into a back plane, the software did have is fair share of bugs, but overall it was
very well designed and there were g codes available that the fanuc om10 don't have
at least in standard form.
