Hi Terry,

I would check that the P100's will run linux OK. I have played about with
several of these and found that there were often problems with the
motherboard/BIOS which prevent re-compiling the kernel as you need to do to
install RTLinux. You can get around this by swapping the hard drive to
another machine and recompiling on that and then putting the disk back but
its messy and I would always be a bit wary about doing this commercially as,
if the BIOS acts up duting a compile, whats to say it won't in operation. As
far as I can tell, the problem is centred around memory access timings and,
for some reason, only seems to afflict motherboards of around the P75 - P100
type. There was also another problem relating to AMD processors or similar
speeds. This may not be a problem for you but, out of 3 different makes I
tried, I only found one which would allow me to build RTLinux.
