Affordable servo system?

I am in the process of building a tabletop mini mill. I am interested
in acquiring a bolt on 3-axis servo system. (Motors controller and
amps and anything else that is required. If any one has pieced
together a system and got it working or knows of an affordable
solution to my dilemma of little funding please let me know.
