Hi Everybody!
First, my lame but obligatory intro:
My name is Hugh but, since there is already a "Hugh" on this board I won't
be offended if you call me "Groover". I live in Plymouth Wisconsin and
have been wood working for about 7 years. I am not yet ready to build my
OWN CNC machine but figure in about a year or so I will try it.
I suppose it is a no-no on this site but I actually bought a CNC router
for my wood sign business (part time for now) but will not want to haul a
4'cube around to shows etc. so will be building my own 16"x24" machine for
that purpose.
To be honest, my machine hasn't arrived yet but I expect it in about a
week or so.

For now, however, I am very interested in your evaluation of the plethora
of software titles on the market. I have not decided on what software I
plan to use just yet, but it has to have an attractive GUI interface since
I will be promoting my business to the public using a WYSIWYG display and
(hopefully) and cut path program to illustrate what the machine is
doing. (Lotsa glitz for the lookers-on).

Actually I would prefer to see the evaluations placed on the board one at a
time so that everyone else can add their running commentary to the thread.

Great Board! I have learned a lot and I'm sure to learn a lot more as time
goes on and I read this board regularly.
