Terry,

Sounds great, how are you slurping them down? You can replay off list if
you would like. I would like to do the same thing for the Sherline users
group and the Mini Internal Combuston Enginge group which I moderate and for
the 7x10 minilathe group. Any help you can provide would be most
appreciated. Perl sounds like the best way to clean up the results to get
to plain text.

hello;

concerning archives of cad_cam_edm_dro
i have figured out a rather automated
manner to slurp them down from egroups.

as i write this i am slurpping down all
messages starting at message number 1 thru
12555.

caveat: egroups stores the messages as
html with alot of added clutter. so there
is an intermediate step of saving the html
as text. this still does not get rid of the
added egroups clutter, i am going to have
to write a perl script to get plain message
text.
