Also search for Mariss Freimaniss recent posts. He spoke to just this
point in one of these two places.
My take (which may be wrong) is that the low volt,hi amp motors are
lower inductance and will have a "flatter torque curve with a modern
bipolar chopper drive. And thus work more reliably at higher speeds.
