Sound card as frequency generator

Please tell us more about your expericences using the sound card to drive
steppers. After reading your post, I did a search and found that Aopen
sells a quad output soundcard for surround sound. Could you use one of
these to get where you want to go?
There were also some signal generator programs out there for Windows and
Linux. It appears that would make a cheap method to get any frequency you
want if the signal was the right type (?)
