Crabtree,
I have been using the MaxNC-15 with 4th axis for over 12 months now, and
have found it to be adequate for my present needs. It works aluminium, brass
and plastics very well. It's a bit slow on feed/traverse, but its not a
production machine. I have heard complaints about the motor mount and it
going through belts fast, but I am still on my first belt and its had plenty
of use. I will agree that the motor mounts are a bit flimsy, but have
lasted. One day I'll change the mount and go to a toothed belt drive.
In an earlier post I asked if anyone was interested in a clamp kit for these
machines, as the standard clamps from MaxNC aren't very good and there isn't
anything out there that size that would work with the aluminium table.
Let me know if you get one and are interested in a clamp kit.
Regards,
Bryan
