RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Optical rotary encoders

I bought some HP HEDS encoders from Active Electronics at about $30 each
which attach to a shaft on the back of a motor. ( .25 inch diam. In my
case.) Not too much help cost wise but 10 bucks an appreciable difference.

The very low cost encoders from Goldmine appear to be sold out. Does
anyone know of a source for cheap encoders suitable for mounting on
servo motors for use in a "Gecko" type servo system.
I know about US Digital, about $40 to $50 each motor. Hoping for
something less budget smashing.
