You guys can argue the handwheels or no handwheels all day long, and
that is going to be a matter of personal taste. Unfortunately
everyone's budget may not allow them to have both an manual and CNC
separate in their shop.
The best indication is that there are almost no professional shops
without a manual mill in the corner somewhere. No matter what you do
there is still a place for them in some capacity. Maybe not 20 years
from now, who knows.
Go into any shop and say, "Hey, look at all this CNC you guys have,
you don't need that old Bridgeport... let me buy it off you." Guess
what they'll say.
