Try your local brake turning shops. You might be able to pick up many
pounds of iron cuttings for free.

Mix that (in place of the sand I mentioned earlier) with the slow setting
epoxy.

By the way...after looking at that Zanite web site,....they mix silicon
dioxide (sounds like sand to me) having a minium size of 1/2 inch diameter
with epoxy for creating their machine components.
