Your post points out that 'truth' is relative :-)

Surely, most of the CCED'ers on this list will be able to get an 'old
port' PC for their use...

However, the commercial CNC provider IS going to see some resistance
from his/her 'potential' customers: "All ya gotta do is go to a
swapmeet, or pick one up used in the paper. No, really! It IS the
best way to control your NEW (many thousands of dollars) machine!"
