I own a Shoptask 3 in 1 machine. I'm gathering pieces to put
together a DRO setup and hope to have it set up and running by
January. I haven't ordered the ISA board from Dan Mauch yet but I
plan to soon. I do have a couple rotary encoders with resolution of
960 cycles/revolution (3,840 counts/revolution) My question is, is
this an adequate res. to measure down to .0005? What about increasing
the ratio of encoder to leadscrew to 2:1 via a cog pulley system?
