I could not have described it better, we have a number of them at work
ranging from a $1000000 zeiss to a $30000 gidding@lewis ,I have seen and
work with them for about 30 years just the other day they scrapped a old
Olivetti .I have seen them as big as to fit an automobile under to measure it
( under C.N.C control)
