re: Bridgeport Series 1 conversion and other stuff

Welcome, Chuck! I hope you have as much fun making machines that make other
machines as the rest of us do. Its sort of an infinite regression, or an
infinite sink, I'm not sure which one.

I have a Series I BP mill with electronics out, and am getting Gecko 201's
in. I suggest you look in the message archives of a few weeks ago, when I
asked the same questions you did. The answers referred back to some
messages of a few months ago.

Questions about SolidWorks should go to newsgroup comp.cad.solidworks.
There is a pretty usefull bunch of people there. Lots of them can help you
on SW beyond the point this list would find boring.

If anyone knows of a good soure for a couple of good DRO scales that will
fit a Hardinge HLVH, I'd like to hear about it. Will contact the local
Heidenhein dealer too, but I'd like to spend a little less money than new.
I have Dan M's board to read them.
