Where are you? And, certainly let us know what happens!

Jon (in St. Louis)

Jon and others interested,

I live just outside of Boston, MA.

I was told that the machines were set off in a corner at the auction. It
looked like they had not been used in a long time but were pretty much
complete.

When I got to the plant today to look at them, they were part of a large pile
of junk waiting to be loaded into a large dumpster. I saw no motors on the
machines. There were 2 BobCats pushing stuff around and taking junk to the
dumpsters where a back hoe was packing it in. A table was off one of the
machines and two heads were missing. There was a lot of damage to the knees of
all of the machines. One had a large bent steel beam laying acorss the table
and knee. Only one control box was there. Not much looked to be worth taking
and it all had to be moved today.

The whole deal is done as far as I am concerned. I don't have the time or
interest to go back and find out what happened today.

The whole point of my story was to inform interested list members, that there
are a lot of these machines around. My friend told me that he has seen at
least one at every auction he has gone to this year.

The best place to look for one of these machines, in my opinion would be a
Vocational High School. As a substitute teacher for a few months, I found one
in each school that I worked. They were locked in special rooms. In most
cases, I was told that the only time they were used was at Open House,
Freshman orientation when students were selecting which trade they wanted to
learn and occasionally at the end of the year when some of the seniors were
shown how it worked. Good Machines. Very little use.

As they say at Warner Bros, "Thats all folks!!!!!"
