Peter,

I started out as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technologist, great way
to learn about many technologies. When the economy took a down turn I had a
change of careers to audio visual production running an animation camera.
Then Air Traffic Control became my occupation, I enjoyed VFR control but my
contract moved me to IFR and I didn't enjoy that. So off to become a
machinist. Started out in a small jobber shop repairing all sorts of things,
a great way to learn how things are made and how to make do with what you've
got. Anyone who has done portable line boring knows about this.

I moved through a few different shops doing about the same, just for more
money each time. Then I moved to my present shop. As a manual machinist my
job was to make jigs, fixtures, and prototypes. I moved up to Quality
Assurance/Control. We work with many different exotic metal mainly stainless
steels, beryllium copper, and titanium. There is a temporary web site
http://www.elitemachining.com there is a professional site coming eventually
but for now you have my handy work, the fellow at the CMM is not me.

I am involved in this group for my own projects mainly. I have some photos
on my web site of my latest project. Better photos will be up shortly.
http://www.wingcraft.com The cutter works fine now but it did have some
growing pains, I let the smoke out a few times :-)

I hope this hasn't been too much information.
