My apologies if this question has been asked before. I have been out
of circulation for some time.
Does anyone know how the scales for a Cordax 1810 Coordinate
Measurement Machine work? Would the ones from an old machine like
this beast be of any use?
Some images of it are below. I took the panels off. The granite
surface is missing. It does have some sort of computer/electronics
in the box but no display.

If anyone knows about this machine or has an idea what to do with it
(it is a bit big, heavy and awkward as a boat anchor) I would like to
hear from you.
