I am a new member of this group who is trying to work out what I need
to do to set my Sherline up for CNC use. I am seeking a couple of
things from the group. First - rather than plague you all with
endless (and likely stupid) questions is there a good beginner's book
on CNC for the hobby machinist. Second - would some kind sole mind
sending or posting me a couple of DXF files for me to look at? Just
a simple set of drawings for a fairly basic part. I don't mind what
it is - although my interest lies in railway modelling and my goal is
to be able to machine things like the motion components. Hopefully I
will be able to work out what my drawings should look like ...
