I do a lot of editing (fine tuning) with "WordPad"... it's a little more
than "Notepad" but doesn't add all the gobble-d-goock that a bigger word
processor does... it will let you "save as" "xxx.anything" without adding a
".txt"... I set "WordPad" as the default program for my new extension name
(.nc, .cnc, etc)... this way if I'm browsing my files and want to look at
one it automatically opens it with "WordPad", yet if I have a CAM program
open I can still do the "file, open" routine... the only thing I have
noticed with having an extension other than .txt, is that I get an "unable
to open file" message if I try to open it from with in a sub-folder... I
have to drag it to the desktop or a first tier folder and open it from
there, then put it back when I'm done...

Any thoughts on why?... other than the standard "because it's Windows"
answer.
