A quick email to eBay customer support about the suspicous shill bidding
reported here yesterday brought an even quicker response. They agreed about
the improper activity and the account in question has been terminated.
If you see this kind of thing on eBay, or any other auction site, report it
right away. They have a vested interest in keeping the dealings fair, but
despite what they call "sophisticated tracking software" to detect shill
bidding, they still need watchdogs to help keep things honest.
