Help!!
I have just acquired some motors off eBay that
were listed as servo motors but turn out to be 3
phase steppers. SIG - positec VDRM3910/50 LWB ,
325 V 2 A steppers. 4 Nm torque out to about 10 K
steps/sec. 1000/2000/4000 steps/rev.
Max start freq of 5 KHz (no load) and max freq of
about 50 K.
Does Mariss ( or someone else) have anything that
will drive these or am I stuck with the german
drives at much higher prices ( $800-1500),
BTW the spec sheet lists voltages of 35, 130 and
325 V with appropriate changes in current.
Planned application is a Jet 13 x 40 lathe ( x and
z ) using ball screws and shaft encoders on the
ball screw.
I'm not in gobs of $$ so can ignore these drives
if using them is not practical.
TIA
Dave
