Yahoo List subscriptions

A word of warning. I suddenly started getting mail from several yahoo
groups that I had never heard of, and certainly did not subscribe to. I
checked my yahoo page, and indeed it showed me subscribed to several. I
unsubscribed, then looked at my yahoo profile.

There is a default setting there that says 'I will accept subscriptions
from a group moderator'. So anyone that starts a yahoo group can sign up
anyone else.

You can edit the settings to remove that. I did, but its to soon to tell
if it works.

You might want to check this, unless you like getting lots of junk mail
