There I was busy as a bee assembling a servo system for a customer. Then the
entire building started to sway. Coming from San Francisco I am very
familiar with earthquakes and knew immediately that the current one was
about 6.0. We do get earthquakes in the Seattle area but this was the
largest I could remember. The hanging light was swaying a good two feet. The
dog had her tail tucked so tight between her legs she could barely walk. The
cat was equally petrified and slinked down the hallway and under one of the
beds. She'll come out in a a day or two.
But a inspection of the house after the ground stopped rolling did not
reveal any significant damage. Nothing was damaged in my shop but a few
pictures in my wifes office were damaged.
Nothing like a little excitement to interrupt a very productive day.
Oh well back to work.
