4phase linear steppers

I need some experienced input.
I have these 10'[120"] 4phase linear steppers . Not sure hw much
current they will handle. Original drivers are 4amp.per phase x four
sets of windings =16 amp
There are two sets of 'windings' on one platen,so what i really have
[I guess] is two motors on each side of a gantry.
Given the way these things are built on to an Ibeam[BIG heat sink!]
and air being forced between platen and forcer[70psi] they could
probably take more current.
Now the question!
What do I use for drivers? type? maybe up to 8-10 amps?
need four drivers for sure to push the gantry at full power.
Any input is really appreciated,I can hardly wait to zing these
things around
