Yesterday I received my March Design news magazine.
The cover story is about the new Z3 spindle head on a Cincinatti.
This is a spindle that has 5 axis of movement in itself, utilizing 3
ballscrews, universal joints, and some knuckles.
No rotary table is needed to get 5 axis
It looks like a unique way to get most of the advantages of a hexapod,
without some of the problems.
Cincinatti shows a little of the info on it, and its patented, so if we
looked up the number...
The design news website also has some info, but the paper mag has more, and
better pictures.
