Hi,
I'm building a Plasma cutting table using 125 watt DC servo motors,
Gecko G340 drivers, a rack and pinion drive and linear bearings
running on supported 1" shafts. I have used a 2:1 belt reduction
onto the pinion, in the past. Can I use just a direct drive to the
pinion instead of the reduction??? Would there be any great problems
running no reduction???
