Hello John and Peter,
If you want to make longer runs with diamond tools forget about
any diamond covered tool bits. Specially from the brand you mention.
Get yourself a solid sintered diamond bit for testing out of the dental deposit
or odontologic supply center. They are sometimes expensive: between 20 and 80 bucks
for the really good ones.
But my 80 buck one lasted 5 years and perhaps much more than 250 hours in steel and crome cobalt. And normally you are told that
diamond does get eaten up from plain steel.
The cheaper ones still last some 20 hours in steel and longer in glass.
Possibly after testing you will not buy any ... brand bits any more.
Good luck
