MDX 15 RPM adjustment

Can anyone out there provide any information as to a way of adding a
speed control (a manual adjustment via a rotary pot. or whatever
would be OK) to the spindle RPM on one of these machines?

I'd like to slow the spindle RPM down considerably when machining wax
