I dismantled an ancient Ricoh fax machine the other day and found two
stepper motors inside. They are controlled by a couple motion control
units with no mfg name. There is an aluminum plate for head dissipation,
and a plastic cover opposite, with everything potted together. On the
black plastic cover, in the upper right corner is the number STK6982, in
the lower right corner in a much smaller font is 7G17 on one and 7G25 on
the other. (lot number?) They are PC board mount, with 18 leads.
I'd like to think I could do something with them, but that won't happen
in this lifetime.
Anyone want these, let me know. For $2-3 I'll package the whole board,
or can clip the leads (they are quite long, this would leave plenty) and
put in an envelope for free.
First come first served.
