Would there be any interest from the group in purchasing ready made
leadscrew thrust bearing blocks, end supports and ball nut flanges.
I have been speaking with a manufacturer who may be willing to make
up a quantity of assemblies.
We had also discussed providing say 6 ft lengths of 5/8 ballscrew
with both ends machned for the thrust bearing, lock nut and pulley.
the user could then easily cut the 6 footer to lentch and then have 2
leadscrews.
While it may be difficult to make one assemblie fit all, I believe
that if low cost assemblies were available, users could design their
machines around what is available.
I have made a simple model of the thrust block design if anyone wants
to view it its at http://www.grifftek.com/thrust/block.htm
Thanks
