linux runs, rtlinux says it runs,emc runs only in the sim mode

I got redhat 5.2 running on a amd k2-350 3d procs, with 64 megs.
emc will load only using the sim.run , sim.ini file.

when I try to run run.64step378 it loads the schedual module ok but when it
loads the motion control modual it hangs the system and I can't get out of
X11 screen with any key combinations example atl, ctrl, del etc. the
machine is locked up.

when i reboot by using the power switch the linux cleans up the improper shut
down and mounts my hard drive which has 3 partn. dos(which runs 98) linux
native, & linux swap. I have no problem boting to dos , linux, rtlinux using
the lilo since i edited lilo config and edited the info for vmlinnuz-1 and
append="mem=63m".

I also add insmod /usr/src/rtl/modules/ rtl_fifo
insmod /usr.src/rtl/moudles/rtl_sched

to the end of the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file to point and load the modules
during the boot procs.

when i run /sbin/reboot when logged in as root
i get

modules pages used by
rtl_sched 1 0
rtl_fifo 2 0
appletalk 4 0 (autoclean )
ipx 3 0 (autoclean)


anybody have any ideas?

I run a mill with Dan's 5 amp drivers and another one with my own drivers
that I designed and built. Using AHHA's cnc pro. I hope that all this effort
will be worth it.
