Hi All
I've been lurking in the outback for a while now, reading the postings, and
thinking ' These guys look as if they have the answers and knowledge without
the O.T. rantings found on other related NGs'.
I've got a copy of SuSe Linux 6.1 installed and running, but I do have one
problem I was hoping someone could answer.
The pppd is up and running and connecting to my ISP OK, Netscape is
installed and runs, BUT I get an error telling me that a list of sites
cannot be found and my $SOCK_NS variable may not be set correctly and I
can't connect to any site.
I can't find any mention to a $SOCK_NS in the manuals, so what do I need to
setup ? or is the problem something to do with route and ifconfg, whatever
they are ?
I realize I might be a little off topic here, but once I have my internet
connection sorted, I can get on and load EMC into my system and get rid of
Bill 'bloated and unstable' Gates' OS.
