>Please, what / where is production tool? New, Used?Production Tool is a major supplier like MSC or J&L. They happen to have
a couple very big showrooms, kind of like a supermarket for machinists.
My New England buddies always like to go there and wander around. They
are not particularly cheap, but its nice to wander up and down the
aisles and see all the stuff that is usually just a picture in a
catalog.
They are not handy to the NAMES show, but my group stays at my dads
house on the east side of Detroit, so we can pass by them on the way to
the show. I would not drive from Wyandotte just to get there. I think
there is a Production Tool on Telegraph Rd, about 10-12 miles north of
the show.
Surprisingly there are not alot of good used tool stores around Detroit.
There are some suggestions posted on a web site for the Detroit
metalworking club, but I find better deals and more used small tooling
on the east coast than in Detroit.
Kitts Tools, an advertiser in HOME SHOP MACHINIST has a store about 20
miles north of the show (8 mile Road and Grand River) They sell a lot of
imported [junk/tools]
