Terry,
Your motor steps/rev * leadscrew revs/unit length * full step (1) or 1/2 step (2).
If there is any reduction via pulleys or gearbox multiply by that factor.
Exp: for a 200 step/rev motor * 20tpi screw = 8000 in 1/2 step mode.
