Dean has done a very nice job on his new MDF
'M3' gantry mill:
43"x34" footprint
24"x29" cutting area
5 1/2" z-axis travel
3/4" fully supported steel rails
nema 34 frame motor mounts
He says:
The M3 CNC router is an experimental prototype of another all wood design.
The parts were CNC cut from a single 4ft x 4ft sheet of 3/4 MDF.
All (without exception) of the wooden parts and the delrin bushings for the
M3 were cut on the M2 oakframed router.
Lots of neat pictures ( click on them to bring up more detailed bigger pictures).

BTW, he also sells his own 2A/phase L297/L298 motor driver.
