The StlWork 2 beta testing is now started. New features include Waterline cutting strategies that allow much more selective cutting of areas that are problematical for plain raster cutting. This includes roughing and finishing vertical sidewalls with the side of the cutter. The result should be about the same as a 2 D cad-cam produces. Those of you that have tried out our full 3 axis contouring test from NAMES already know the difference in smoothness and contouring speeds that can be made if one uses just the X & Y for cutting and does not constantly rely on the slower & less accurate Z axis.
