The servo system requires encoders for feed back. The comparison between the
ordered desination and the actual location is taken care of in the
electronics.
The servo system works fine with desknc, maxnc, dancam and other step and
direction software. It works good on my .000 backlash chinese knee mill. On
my mill drill it also works fine now trhat I added ballscrews to the X and Y
axis. The z axis has .02 backlash. thus at 24,000 counts to the inch
1/24000=.000041667 " per count there for .02/.000041677=479 step in backlash
that I would have to add in the max pr file. It will only go to ~256. So
that has forced me to fix the damn quill problem.
I called otto about 4 times on the file size. On the 4 axis version he said
it could not be fixed. I don't need the three axis version.
