Thx. I ommited to mention that those are only rough calculations. The main
questions are, if the mentioned motor parameters (or catalogue parameters
of similar drivers like 48V/5A) are per motor or per winding. And also, if
it is really necessary to multiply the current of each channel by number of
channels.
I am trying to limit the power supply as much as possible (without
compromising the torque of course). Those 1000W transformers are big (even
in toroid form) and also the total power consumption is quite big. For
example, in my house, I have the 240V/10A circuit breakers...
