Jon, you must be kidding ! You don't need all that stuff. You
hitch hike with NASA and do it in orbit. Where is your imagination

If you could get a sine wave then it is possible to use the L290
encoder to tacho chip from SGS. Oopps, this would not solve the
higher resolution problem, - sorry. Hmm...
If anyone know about sine wave from encoders, here is an electronic
tacho generator. I have several of these, but have never tested
them, - I only have square wave output on my encoders, and have no
idea if they could be converted or shaped into sine waves.
