Roger,
I recently talked to Alan in the tech support dept. at OneCNC, asking
questions about their Mill Professional CNC package. He said the
latest build of the software does support 4th axis wrapping, using a
linear distance wrapped around a circumference. I'm looking for a 4
or 5 axis CAM software myself, and this is the best
price/capabilities package I have seen so far. They have a working
demo on the Web for download (~18MB), or you can request a demo CD.
I just received it last Wed., and it includes 3D CAM, 2 1/2D CAM,
Lathe, Nesting, Profiling/Burning, 2/4 axis Wire EDM, plus NC Verify,
and a free DNC software. These are all Windows packages with a
common interface for the major packages. I have not found a package
for hobby (read low cost) use that has 4 or 5 continuous capabilities
yet - anybody have suggestions?
I'm not affiliated with OneCNC.
