Hi I've just finished a self imposed task of digesting all previous
posts over the last few months. Very illuminating, although at times
I though I'd would never catch up :-)
Thanks for the hundreds of thoughtfull messages that inspired me to
take a CNC machining course plus instruction in Solid Works this
year. As I have the eye hand co-ordination of a sloth (so many parts,
so much scrap) CNC is the way I have to go.
I want to machine larger parts such as steam engine cylinder blocks,
so I need a larger mill such as an older CNC brigeport or similar
with dead or an out dated controller. Unfortunately where I am in
Auckland New Zealand second hand CNC gear is rare or way over priced
compared to the juicy prices mentioned in members various posts.
So first question is there any "reputable" second hand CNC macinery
traders, preferably on the USA west coast, any one could recomend?
I calculate it should be considerably cheaper to buy in the USA and
ship to New Zealand despite the miserable $NZ to $US ratio.
Thanks in advance
