Glad that you got the MS-windows back. Now for the x-windows.
any directory and they would run. Linux also has commands that you can
enter from most any place. Xconfigurator is one of those. If you see
something like
[ray@localhost ray]$
then linux is waiting for a command. You can type it in right there and
press enter.
If you don't see something like the above prompt, try <control><alt><F2>
and linux should switch you to a new terminal. Log in as root and enter
the Xconfigurator command and you should be good to go.
